PAR Preferences.  For the Treo 600/650/700p/680/755/Centro you can tell PAR PRO to stop recording while you get a call.

Play back voice memo.

The recording screen is very configurable.  You can control the quality of the recording and uncompressed or compressed. For typical recording you can use 16khz, MONO, 8bit and Uncompressed.  On the Treo 600 for example compressed recording is not available.
